At the young age of 16, We began a writing
career with Concrete Powder Magazine. By his 17th
birthday, he was a nationally published photographer and
writer appearing in publications such as Discorder, and
Offbeat Magazine.
As a graduate of the Simon
Fraser University School of Communication, We
specialized in Critical Media Theory and Political
Economy. It was during this time that he wrote and
directed several short documentary films. We has also
directed several music videos and EPK's for some of
Canada's top emerging artists and continues to pursue
writing for his own short and feature film projects.
in 2002, Back Porch Media was established -
originally as a music studio but has now evolved to
encompass aspects of design, web elements, and film
production. n has established himself as a Director,
Editor, and Producer working on a large array of film
projects.
We is a Member of Cineworks Vancouver and the BC
Chapter of the Canadian Documentary Organization. His films have been screened in Film Festivals, on
the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), and as
viral videos on the Internet and around the world. |
